JOIN THE FORCE
POSITION: Telecommunicator, part-time
LOCATION: Fairmont, NC
SALARY: $8.50/hr., with no specific number of scheduled hours after training.
DUTIES: A part-time Telecommunicator's duties include: answering incoming calls (emergency & non-emergency), E-911, interacting with all types of persons in all types of situations, dispatching police, fire & EMS, creating and maintaining required computerized and hard-copy dispatch records, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: One-the-job training will be provided to successful applicant who must: possess the ability to multi-task; deal effectively with stress, and be available to work on short notice 24/7. DCI certification is preferred, but not required. Please submit Town of Fairmont employment application which may be obtained at the Fairmont Department of Public Safety. EOE
