welcome

On behalf of the men and women of the Fairmont Department of Public Safety, I welcome you to our website.

The Town of Fairmont is located in the southern part of Robeson County. The department is unique because we are the only public safety agency in Robeson County that delivers police, fire, and E911 services under one department to its citizens and our many visitors. The department is comprised of 49 brave men and women who are committed to delivering professional service to everyone under the community policing philosophy.

Our department continues to be recognized as one of the most progressive agencies in the area and we will continue to be committed to improving our level of service to our citizens. The department has implemented many innovative programs over the last few years that have produced positive results in reducing crime and building stronger relationships. These accomplishments are only possible through the dedication of the department’s diverse staff and community partnerships.

I take great pride in being entrusted with the responsibility and honor that comes with leading the Fairmont Department of Public Safety. Just as my predecessors have, I will continue to seek and embrace change that solve the problems affecting our community in an effective manner. To accomplish this we will continue to embrace the concepts of community policing and the core values and principles upon which the department was founded. As our vibrant and diverse community continues to grow and the Fairmont Department of Public Safety continues to move forward, we will maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and personal integrity as we fulfill our mission “to preserve life, protect property, enforce the law, and work in partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life in the Town of Fairmont.

Please explore our website and allow us to share our proud tradition in public safety. We will continue to provide you with valuable and easy to access on-line information as we continue to build upon and improve our web-site for you.
